Great dive bar with good drinks and local feel. It was Thursday afternoon and a singer was on stage. The crowd was nice and welcoming and we will be back.

Fun and friendly neighborhood bar with great music, welcoming crowd, attentive bar staff, cold drinks and awesome food! We shared nachos that were plentiful and delicious! All food that we saw come out of the kitchen looked amazing. We will definitely be return customers next time we hit the beach! Great place!

The Star Tavern was created by musicians and supports local music more than any place I've encountered. International artists also perform from time to time. It is a mecca for talent. It is very special place to grab a bite to eat, enjoy an adult beverage and check out a fantastic band.

First night out, what a pleasant experience 😌 Staking out where to, we decided to check the Google reviews They were bang on. Great live venue Great service, television showing Nascar Band kicking it out with Wild Current on the stage We've found our new bar away from home Loved the music memorabilia on all the walls Serving the drinks and the food, Gerrod. 5☆all round Free ample parking Don't forget to tip the musicians

Nice little dive bar. Small and can be quite loud when they have a band but a really cool spot for food, drinks and live music.

We stopped here after our dinner since friends recommended this place. We had one of the best night's out in a long time at this amazing little venue. The artwork on the walls is cool and the space is cozy. The bartenders did a great job taking care of us the entire night. AND THE BAND WAS AMAZING! Leroy Harper Jrs All Starz literally rocked the house! We got to chat with the extremely talented musicians and my hubby even got up to sing a few songs with them. We also got to know the sweet singer, Sheila, who sings like an Angel. This place is a must for anyone, local or visiting! We definitely will be back! 🎶❤️

Awesome local Tavern. It's my understanding they have live music every night. Their food really stands up to all the positive reviews. This evening was our first time at this establishment. The atmosphere is local-rustic. Loved the wooden walls and booths. The entertainment was a little difficult to see from the booth we were sitting in, but we could definitely hear it. The bar staff that waits the tables was attentive and friendly. Now, the food, fantastic. We ordered the fried mushrooms and onion rings for an appetizer. Let me say that the size of the mushrooms is big, which makes them so good. The caps hold the fryer oil which marinades with the caps to give these mushrooms an awesome burst of flavor when you bite into them. The onion rings were sliced properly, not a thin little ring, but a hefty ring so that the onion to breading ratio is perfect. Both items were made fresh, not brought in frozen on a truck. I ordered a burger which was well seasoned and served on a toasted Brioche Bun. One of the best burger I had in a long time. The fries were great. Not sure how they cut them, but they were spiral fries and the thickest I've ever had. My wife got the Wings and had a special request. She asked for the Mild Hot Sauce and Garlic-Parm Sauce be combined and the Wings be rolled in the sauce. Not a problem here. They were made to her liking and actually we both enjoyed them. The Wings are cooked so the outside is crispy, which is what we always look for in a wing. I know this review is a little long winded, but when I find an establishment that exceeds my expectations, I make sure to explain thoroughly so that, you, the reader, gets a good understanding of the place. We are locals to the area, and will definitely be back to try other menu items. Keep up the good work!

Stopped in my first time on a random Monday. Was immediately impressed with the jazz ensemble who consisted of 5-7 different musicians. Their sound was amazing! I found the Bar itself to be extremely friendly with a mix of locals and regulars. I felt at home and comfortable enjoying both the band and atmosphere. A small snack and a couple of cold ones made my night perfect. Although I live in Myrtle Beach and it's a little bit of a ride, I will absolutely go back. In addition- music nightly from 7pm to 11pm is certainly worthy of a visit any day of the week!
